pictures posted on here will help with identifying mower type. To me the easiest to identify are the 80T and 82T. The axle on the 82T is angled, the 80T is not. for more help in narrowing it down: T = trailer type. has tires. S = side mount. mounts in front of rear wheels. R = mounts to rear of tractor.
What is the original tire size for the Allis Chalmers Model C? Does this depend on the rim size (ie. 9" rim uses 9.5, 10" rim uses 11.2)? Are there problems associated with using tires other than 9.5 X 24 on the 9 X 24 wheels? Re: Allis Chalmers C - Tire Size in reply to J. Roush, 01-28-2004 12:12:31.

In this publication, it was stated that the plant stood on 160 acres and maintained a workspace of over 4,100,000 feet of floor space in the sprawling complex. The factory employed 15,000 of the total 41,000 (at that time) workers of the entire Allis-Chalmers firm. To get their product out, the complex contained 21 miles of railroad …
Allis-Chalmers had begun using GM Diesels prior to WWII as its 'standard' diesel engine. Allis-Chalmers did not at that time produce a reliable diesel engine of its own. GM diesels were fitted to the HD-5, HD-7, HD-9, HD-10, HD-14, HD-15, HD-19 and HD-20 and all of them were '71' series models of various types apart from the HD-20 …

The tractor is in very good condition overall, with a believable history from its second owner. I plan to use the tractor with a large rotary mower and possilby put a ...
1939 Allis-Chalmers "B" restored in 2010- very good condition. the fine "crap" gets in the carb bowl and makes a deposit and sticks inside the main jet.... take the carb apart, clean the bowl, poke a fine wire thru the jets ( remove them if they will come out), then blow out with compressed air and reassemble.
Operating from 1847 to 1999, the Allis-Chalmers Corporation was one of Milwaukee's key manufacturing giants and for a time the city's largest employer, producing what one historian describes as "the 'big stuff' for America's expanding urban and industrial markets.". Allis-Chalmers originated in James Seville and Charles Decker's ...
Allis-Chalmers manufactured its famous orange tractors and other equipment, operating until the 1990s when the company ultimately dissolved. You'll still find quite a few Allis-Chalmers tractors and balers for sale on TractorHouse. Some dealers offer parts for maintenance and repairs, which shows how long-lasting and …
